An induced draft cooling tower is a mechanical draft heat rejection device that utilizes one or more power-driven fans mounted at the top (discharge point) of the tower. Unlike forced draft systems where air is blown in from the bottom, an induced draft design pulls or draws ambient air upward through the internal components and fill media. This 'draw-through' motion creates a negative pressure zone inside the tower, establishing a steady, highly efficient airflow path.
